The eligibility criteria of GNM( General Nursing and Midwifery) states that you have to pass 10+2 level from a recognised board, with a total score of 50 per cent in Science subjects (Physics, Biology, Chemistry). The entrance exams for this course are AIIMS Nursing Entrance Exam, JIPMER Nursing Entrance Exam, PGIMER Nursing, IGNOU OPENNET, UHS Nursing Entrance Exam and many more.
The eligibility criteria for ANM(Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery) is that you should clear class 12th board exam with minimum 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA. The entrance exams for this course are JIPMER Nursing Entrance Exam and PGIMER Nursing Entrance Exam.

ANM (Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery) is one year course with the eligibility of 10+2 (from Arts or Science stream), 10th class. Students have to secure at least 40-50% marks in qualifying examination.
GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) is three and half year diploma course with the eligibility of 10+2 passed with Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Arts students are eligible for ANM and not for GNM.
