Got rank of 4800 in SRMJEE.Can I get CS at SRM Main Campus? Or should I prefer CS at KIIT? Which is better CS at KIIT or SRM main campus ?
First of all congratulations on cracking both the entrance exam.
Now coming to your question. Cs branch is a hot selling branch in every engineering college since the placement percentage is very high. Be it Srm be it Kiit.
Srm main branch in Chennai is ranked 46 and Kiit in Bhubaneshwar is ranked 51 by the NIRF ministry. Both are actually very close.
Academics is slightly better in Kiit as compared to Srm and the course in kiit includes many new subjects that are now trending in the industry. Srm is a bit late in that according to my knowledge. Both college has a very huge, and beautiful campus. Infrastructure is top notch. Fees structure is also at par.
Now coming to placements scenario. Previous year kiit saw a placement of 90 percent students with 100 percent in Cs/it branch. Highest package was 35LPA. The placement of Srm saw similar placement scenario.
It is now your decision which one to choose. Both are best at their level. If you get into Cs branch in any of the college and work a bit hard then placement is guaranteed.
I am from KIIT and I am not being biased here. Its your decision to choose.
Best of luck!
