Hi,

Mathematics is not a compulsory subject for BCA, but certain colleges do not allow candidates without mathematics background as they do not have seats for Art/biology students. But there are many government and private colleges that offer BCA without mathematics, but there will be a little difference in your syllabus of first year and have mathematics as a main subject. You will be taught from very basics, but it will go to the advanced levels and semester exams will be focused on intermediate to advanced level of the mathematics, so I suggest you to start your Mathematics beforehand, even during the admission time.

Certain government colleges that offer BCA courses are:

  • Aliah University, Kolkata
  • St. Xavier's College Ahemdabad
  • Government Science college, Banglore
  • Ambedkar institute of technology, Delhi
  • YMCA, Faridabad

I hope it covers your query.

All the best.
