Both government colleges and private colleges have their own hostels. There are only a few times when either of these two colleges don't have hostel(especially when the course is full-time). So, you can't take admission into private college and live in government college's hostel but you can go for some other private hostels/PGs other than what is provided by the private college. Similar thing goes for the government college and it's hostel facilities.
