Government Medical College and General Hospital Satara is a state funded Government Institute applied for the 100 MBBS student admission for year 2021-22 to the National Medical Commission, New Delhi. GMC Satara admission take place through NEET with 15% All India Quota & 85% State Quota. College provides various facilities like hostel, good infrastructure and others.

Satara Civil Hospital has been converted into a teaching hospital and transferred from the health department to the DMER to start the proposed medical college and UG medical course.
