Hey Manish!
A group discussion is mostly held to screen applicants, particularly for educational institutes and entry level positions or jobs. The group discussion round is an interview component that evaluates a candidate's speaking, communication abilities, ideas and personality. It demonstrates the candidate's capacity to community and work in a bigger group in a variety of occupations.
Since you haven't mentioned the purpose nor the topic(if provided) of the group discussion, I would provide some basic tips useful for cracking the group discussions.
Keep these points in mind and you will be able to ace the group discussion. You will be assessed on certain aspects such as your communication skills, your capacity to solve problems and think critically, how you approach the subject, whether or not you can come up with novel concepts, how you present your point of view, how you listen and observe and so on.
All the best!
