Shri Shikshayatan College is women's college situated in Kolkata, West Bengal and is NAAC accredited grade A college. It was established in 1955. It is affiliated to o University of Calcutta.

It has 21 departments and offers undergraduate, Post graduate and add on courses in history, mathematics, philosophy, physics, political science, sociology, statistics, zoology, English, Journalism and mass communication, bussiness administration and so on.

The admission is merit based and candidates have to get their name in the merit list to get admission.

There is a placement cell in the college in collaboration with omnifin. Each and every placement needs of the student is taken care of. More than 70% of students get placed every year. Wipro, ICICI, IBM are some companies which visit the campus for recruitment. The average salary being 3.5 lakh per annum.
