The Academic Council of Mangalore University has granted permission for reserving 5% of seats for students, who have studied in Kannada medium from Class I to X, from Gadinadu and outside Karnataka for admission into higher education. As per the Karnataka government's order, it is mandatory to reserve 5% seats for those students who had studied in Kannada medium up to Class X in schools outside Karnataka, in higher education.
"Gadinadu Kannadiga" means a candidate whose mother tongue is Kannada, Kodava or Tulu and who resides in the disputed Kannada Speaking Areas of South Sholapur, Akkalkot, Jath or Gandhinglaj of Maharashtra State or Kasargod Taluk of Kerala State. Total 6995 MBBS Seats available in Karnataka including Government and Private Medical Colleges, In Karnataka total 2750 MBBS Seats available in Government Medical Colleges among these 412 MBBS Seats Under All India 15% Quota and 2338 MBBS Seats available in State Quota. A domicile certificate issued by the concerned Revenue or Municipal authorities certified that the candidate and his either of parent have resided outside the state of Karnataka as on 01.05. 2019.
Least preferred Government Medical College in Karnataka state during 2020 was Kodagu Institute of Medical Sciences. You can find NEET 2020 closing rank cut off for all Karnataka reservation categories below. The average fees for private medical colleges in Karnataka start from 140000 to 50,00,000.
There are 27% seats reserved for other backward classes or OBC category. It doesn't matter in which city or village of India you live. If you are in the category of other backward classes then you are eligible for 27% reservation. Besides this there is 10% reservation for economic weaker section and 15% reservation for scheduled caste and 7.5 % reservation for Scheduled tribe.

So as per you query, yes you might get reservation under the OBC category students in the state of Karnataka. Also if you had studied in Karnataka right from 1st to 10th standard then you will be having a reservation 5% as well. KCET provides such reservation to the students.
