Concept of Physics, by HC Verma is a book which is used by every topper of JEE to understand the concepts and mastering Physics. This books teaches you physics from a beginner level and if you follow this book correctly, solve every question in this book after understanding the concept from theory and examples, then you can score high marks in JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Both volumes are very good and they have good amount of questions. that will help you in acing the exam.

To crack exams like JEE Mains and  JEE Advance you need both your hard work and proper guidance. Books also plays a very important role in securing a good rank. Taking tha case of Physics, so the 1st priority is NCERT. In your starting preparation, don't go for any other book. Start from very basic i.e. NCERT. Clear your basic concepts from here.

After completing this book you can start HC Verma. This is a very good book. It has proper theory and also the problems in this book are very nice. This book is 100% enough for JEE Mains. But for JEE Advance this book is 85% enough. You can refer to some other books like Physics by IE Irodov , for JEE Advance etc. But overall this book is very helpful. This book comes in two parts, Part 1 and Part 2. These includes all the necessary syllabus for JEE.
