If we consider the past year cutoff for general category students in mechanical engineering Domain, we get to know that the cutoff's are around 500+ and it is difficult to find a seat in old iits but there are new iits where you might get a seat.

The cutoffs depend upon the difficulty of the paper and number of applicants.So, before coming to any conclusion wait for the results and cutoff to be released.

You have not mentioned your category without that it is difficult to help you as cut off will be different for each category.Assuming that you belong to general category considering previous years cut off trends you may have slight chances to get seat in IIT, Guwahati in computational mechanics(cut off 503).With such rank it is difficult to get seat in any IITs.
