Hello, Can someone please tell me where should i take admission for 2021-22 with 86.8% in 12th Boards? It would be better if you mention if its merit or exam based.
Greetings,
Since you have not mentioned any specific area of interest I am assuming you do not wish to go the conventional way of JEE mains or NEET which are both exam based obviously.
Apart from them, you have the option to opt for:
- Law : You will have to write CLAT (most popular exam for admission into top colleges) if you have the aptitude and like reading and analyzing then it's a great option. other exams include AILET, SLAT BHU, etc.
- C.A or CMA - these are only good if you are from a commerce or math background. traditionally it takes around 5 years to complete C.A (along with b.com (//b.com) ) and around 3 years to complete CMA. for CA you have to appear for an exam that's taken after 12th to enroll into the foundation course and for CMA you just have to enroll for foundation. These fields offer some of the highest paying, self employed jobs in the market but are considered really tough and competitive (CA is much more revered than CMA btw)
- Design - If you are the creative type then you should aim for the top design institutes in India (they have placements as great as any other premier institute in India) for that you need to appear for NID admission exam (NID - National Institute of design) or NIFT (National institute of fashion technology) regardless of what it sounds like (the word fashion being in the name) both these exams will open opportunities in courses like UI design (IT related), textile design, fashion design, automotive design, etc. great career prospects and fabulous exposure levels if you manage to get into the top schools for design.
- Arts : DU takes admission based on 12th merit but there are other great national level institutes that offer arts and sciences like BHU, TISS, St. Stephens Mumbai, etc. They have their respective exams and it is a great career path if you wish to go for further higher studies abroad, research or academics.
There are still more fields, these were from the top of my head for now. If you have any more queries you can comment. Any specific field related question or otherwise,
Good luck!
