Hello, can you please inform me about the cmat cut off for OBC category. I scored 89% in SSC, 67% in HSC & 64% in my grad. Do I hold chance.
Is there any chance of getting a good MBA/ PGDM college. Also is it sensible of me to do MBA after Mass communication. Actually I'm looking for brand management in advertising sector, so will I get opportunity. Please guide me regarding this.
Dear CMAT is an examination for taking admission in various MBA examinations. CMAT or AICTE for that matter doesn't release any cutoff for any category. It is, rather the institutes which release cutoffs.
So which Institute's cutoff are you actually interested in? Please let us know so that we can answer your question more precisely.
Anyway, following is the list of cutoffs of few colleges that might be of your interest:
*Jamanalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), Mumbaj- 95.6 percentile
*Goa Institute of Management, Goa - 95.2 percentile
*K J Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research - 95.1 percentile
*XISS Ranchi - 88 percentile
*Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi - 70 percentile
*Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai - 275 score
Note - These are tentative cutoffs and CMAT cutoffs are not officially declared as such. It may again vary this year because these institutes consider scores of other exams as well.
All the best!!
The eligibility criteria for PUMBA is a student must have passed with minimum 50 percent marks or equivalent CGPA (45 percent in case of backward class and persons with disability)in any bachelors degree awarded by any University.
There is no fixed cut-off for PUMBA college. It fills up 65% of the seats will be filled based on MH-CET Scores, while the remaining 35% will be filled based on All-
India Entrance exams of CMAT & CAT.
And on the basis of previous year records, PUMBA's cut off for OBC category is around 94+ percentile. Again the CAT percentile is not the only criteria for getting a call from the college. You should also need to have a strong profile i.e. your academic records (10th, 12th and graduation percentage), work experience etc. because all these parameters also have some weightage in the aggregate score created to make a merit list to call students for next round of WSAT and interview.
You have average academic records which makes you eligible for further evaluation but so aim for a higher percentile in order to ensure your selection in the college.
All the best!!
