Hi Shelaj,
Since you didn't mention what course you are applying for, I assume that you are looking for comparison between these two Colleges for MBA programme. Both of these Colleges are equally good, there are lots of similarities between these two Colleges.
I'll be providing you with the brief details of the Colleges and you can decide accordingly.
1. ISBR, BANGALORE
• Ranked as Platinum Institute by AICTE-CII Survey.
• Good support of peers, juniors, alumni and good faculty.
• Because the college is in Bangalore, the electronic city, there is good corporate culture exposure by regular industry visits, workshops, seminars, PPT ( Pre-placement Talk ), and so on.
• 2 years full time MBA course with Specialization in Human Resource Management, Financial Management, Marketing Management, Information Technology, International Business.
• 2 years full time PGDM course with Dual Specialization in Human Management, Financial Management, Marketing Management, Information Technology, International Business Operations.
• Average Package :- 5.85 lakhs per annum.
• Top Recruiters: - Goldman Sachs, GE, Morgan Stanley, Birla Sun Life, Ninja Cart, Pantaloons, 99 acres, Bose, Yellow Pages, etc.
• Fees :- 6.10 Lakhs for full degree programme.
2. LM THAPAR SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT, PUNJAB .
• Considered under Top B- schools in India.
• Companies from Various sectors come for placements like FMCG, IT, Market Research, Education Services.
• Follows Lateral hiring process that helps the students to interact with companies and make suitable decision regarding their career.
• 2 years MBA full time degree with Specialization in Marketing Management, Information System, Human Resource Management, Finance, Operations, Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Education Management and Leadership, Energy and Sustainability.
• Average Package :- 6.09 lakhs per annum
• Top Recruiters :- HCL, IBM, Hitachi, LG, Deloitte, HDFC Bank, Hyundai, Kellogg's, SanDisk, Tata, Nestlé, etc.
• Fees :- 6.8 lakh for full degree programme.
Based on above comparison, I feel there are more similarities between them than the difference. ISBR , although the Average Package Placement is not to die for, but being in Bangalore, gives you the probability of having exposure to number of companies.
On the other hand, LM Thapar is in Punjab and it is famously known for Engineering.
And the Management Degree is less know comparatively but the Package Placement has another story to tell.
However, LM Thapar would be more convenient to you as you belong to Punjab and I guess if both the Colleges provide you with the same Package Placements, and almost equal fees structure, you can easily put your finger on any one of these Colleges.
I hope this information was helpful.
Revert back, in case of more query.
All the best!!
