Yes you will have to pay an additional fee of INR 1400/- to book your slot for phase 2 because as per the information brochure of MET 2022 the candidates applying before May 9th, 2022 but does not book their slot then they are required to pay additional 1400/- to book the slot for phase 2 of MEET 2022

Once registered for MET 2022, as per the instruction given by the competent authorities, if you get absent in Phase 1 of MET 2022 or even you do not book the slot for phase 1 then also you can apply for phase 2 but you will be only allowed to book slot for phase 2 on an additional payment of INR 1400/- so you can apply for phase 2 if you could not appear for phase 1 due to any reason.
