Hello.... How many seats are there in India and up reserved for the obc candidates??

From all the government medical and dental colleges, except from Jammu and Kashmir will be reserved for 15% All India Quota seats. The admission to these reserved seats will be done by Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of MCC. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have joined the scheme of AIQ from last year.



As per the NEET 2019 reservation criteria, 15% seats are reserved for SC candidates, for ST aspirants the percentage of seats reserved is 7.5%, while 27% of the total seats have been reserved for the candidates belonging to OBC category. The admission to remaining seats will be done on the basis of NEET scores. Besides that, 5% horizontal reservation will be done for the Persons With Disabilities (PWD).



NEET 2019 Reservation Criteria from Persons with Disabilities



Under the reservation criteria of NEET 2019, out of 15% AIQ seats, 5% will be reserved for the PWD aspirants as per the provisions of reservation under Rights of Persons with Disability Act, 2016. The admission to these seats will be done on the basis of NEET 2019 result  . Candidates claiming for admission under PWD category under AIQ scheme must submit the Disability Certificate issued from one of the disability assessment boards, constituted at the four major cities as mentioned below:

NEET Reservation Criteria for 15% AIQ

Reservation Criteria of NEET 2019 for 85% State Quota seats



The admission to the seats other than 15% AIQ seats, which is, 85% state quota seats will be done by the respective state counselling authorities. However, candidates under state quota seats must fulfill the eligibility conditions as mentioned by the particular state and qualify in NEET 2019. Also, the 100% seats in private universities/colleges will also be done by the state counselling committee, subject to the policies of Government of India/State/Union Territory.
