Sice the inception of Telangana in 2014, the LAWCET exam was also split into separate ones held state-wise AP LAWCET for Andhra Pradesh and TS LAWCET for telangana state.
Yes, you can apply for TS LAWCET. There are certain number of seats for the candidates belonging to that particular state and also for other state candidates.
Eligibility Criteria for TS LAWCET
For 5-year–integrated LLB programme –
1. You must have passed Intermediate Examination of Andhra Pradesh State Boards or other State Education Board of 10+2 pattern, securing 45% of the total marks.
2. If you belong to any Reserved categogy, you must have secured 40% marks of the total marks inj aggregate of the subjects.
3. There is no upper age limit to apply for TS LAWCET as per the new regulations of Bar Council of India (BCI)
4. Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam of 10+2 are also considered eligible, provided they fulfill requirement of minimum marks for the qualifying exam
For 3-year LL.B programme –
1. You must have a Bachelor Degree in any discipline from any recognized University or must have qualified any other equivalent examination as recognized by the concerned Universities
2. If you belong to General category you need to have scored 45% in aggregate of all subjects and 40% in case if you belong to any reserved category.
3. As per the regulations of Bar Council of India (BCI), there is no upper age limit for admissions to law programmes
4. You are also eligible if you are appearing in the qualifying exam provided you must fulfill the requirement of minimum marks.
5. If you have less than 45% of qualifying marks in the Graduate degree examination but hold any additional Graduation or Post Graduation degree with 45% minimum qualifying marks then it can be taken into consideration.
