Firstly the eligibility criteria for appearing in UPSC is passed graduation in any discipline from a recognized University, there is no requirement of specific aggregate, you need to attain 21 years as on 1st August of the appearing year, and can apply even in the final year, see there is no guarantee that choosing a specific stream will make you successful in UPSC, in fact the graduation stream isn't a criteria as such when it comes to qualifying this reason, the reason if you look at previous year toppers they come from as diverse backgrounds as that of engineering, medical, science, commerce etc, now none of these fields as such has any overlap with at least the general studies paper majorly, hence choosing MPC or BiPC is more dependent on your areas of interest, skills, aptitude, and the kind of job profile you're looking at apart from appearing in UPSC, say you're interested in technical field go for MPC, if you're interested in medical domain then choose BiPC, your graduation domain should only be in which you are interested to explore, and much more than anything else what is common for all candidates who qualify UPSC is their focus, dedication, planning, strategy, perseverance, hence go with a career of your choice, and it also helps when you have back up plans in case you want to appear for UPSC ahead in future since this exam is also very compeitive and at times unpredictable.
