As you mentioned that you are in 12th and want government college for engineering ..

So get government for engineering you have to crank entrance exam ..as for engineering ..jee main is the entrance exam to get engineering in government colleges NIT ,IIT .. many state level entrance exam like UPSEE,mht CET and other for the state level Government College so for government college weather for Central Government College for for state government college you have to crack entrance exam to get admission there..

If you are willing to join a good government engineering College then for this there are two options for you . First is JEE mains and second is state level entrance exam.

Both will be based on your 10+2 syllabus. So focus on it study hard practice as much as you can.

Score good marks and get admission in government colleges.
