Hey,
Please don't choose a career vaguely. The best thing you can do is to analyze the job responsibility of Advocate as well Collector(IAS Officer). You can then decide the field which suits you best. For being an Advocate, you need to have Bachelors degree in Law followed by a Masters degree. You need to then have some experience and then work as an advocate. If we consider, Collector, then UPSC is considered as the best option. There are state recruitments also done for the same. However, the basic eligibility criteria stays same i.e. candidates need to have passed their bachelors degree in any stream. You need to then go for Prelims, Mains followed by Personal Interview. Candidates of 21 years can sit for UPSC. If you word hard consistently, you can join the Administrative services even at such a young age. If we consider being an Advocate, then it is slightly a long procedure and then you need to grab some internships to improve the resume or job chances. However, the end choice remains yours only. You need to consider the job responsibilities of both these posts and then better decide which suits you best. If you have passed 10th, then it is best to complete your class 12 and then start preparing for any of the entrance exam you want to opt. You can go for CLAT to get admission into top Law Colleges for LLB.
