since you are from the general category it will be difficult for you to apply to some of the top IITs but don't get disheartened can apply to some of the IITs with the likes of Hyderabad Ropar Mandi and patna
also you must apply to some of the NITs like that of NIT surathkal, surat Warangal Trichy etc.
