As you mentioned your rank 29000 is not good rank but it's decent one. On this rank you have good chances to get some branches at chennai main campus. The branches are civil, chemical, software engg, electrical & electronics , electronic & communication, mechanical, mechatronics, biomedical, nanotechnology engg, etc .
