Yes, if you haven't registered for Gate, you can apply for the Tancet 2022 exam. The basic eligibility to apply for this exam is that :

• You must have passed  B.Tech/B.E. from a recognized institute in the relevant field and you must have secured 50% marks in the qualifying exam and for the reserved category, the marks are at least 45%.
• There is no specific age limit required to be eligible for this exam.

There is one more thing that I need to mention if a candidate has cleared the Gate exam then he will not be required to be eligible for TANCET 2022.

If you are seeking admission to M.E/M.Tech in the institutes of Tamil Nadu then you can get admission based on GATE score or TANCET score. GATE 2022 is schedules on February 5, 2022 and February 6, 2022 & February 12, 2022 and February 13, 2022. If you haven't registered for GATE 2022 you can apply for TANCET 2022 and appear for the entrance examination. The eligibility criteria to appear for TANCET 2022 is that you must have passed B.Tech/B.E. from a recognized institute in the relevant field. Those candidates who have completed 10+2+AMIE or 10+3 years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE are also eligible to apply. You must have scored minimum 50% aggregate marks if you belong to general category, for reserved category candidates it is minimum 45% aggregate marks. There is no upper age limit.
