Hello Purabi
Yes, It is possible for BMLT students to pursue MSc Biotechnology.
Eligibility criteria for MSc Biotechnology are following:
Student should have completed graduation with science subject like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, , Biotechnology, Microbiology, Nursing,Bpharm. etc.
55% is qualifying marks for Unreserved and 45% for SC and ST.
Final year appearing students can also apply for MSc Biotechnology.
Scope
There are various sectors of job some are here below
Research Associate
Biochemist
Pharma
Food technology companies
Quality control
Professor but PHD mandatory
Lab technician
Environment sector
Agriculture
But Biotechnology is completely research oriented field . If you are really passionate about this subject then only you should go for it. It is not a money making sector. You have to gain experience and work diligently then you can have handsome salary. Average salary after MSc Biotechnology is 3 to 4 LPA. No doubt it is a demanding and futuristic field . But in India funding and pace is slow and will take time to grow.
According to me first look for your aspirations if money then then it's NO. Always take decision according to your needs and requirements.
Thanks
