Hello I scored 90.3% in intermediate can I apply for forensic if yes can u help me to choose a college and is a gud decision

B.Sc. Forensic Sciences is a 3-year graduate course which involves the application of scientific knowledge to the investigation of crimes. Professionals in this discipline apply their knowledge of science to analyze the evidence found at a crime scene. The basic eligibility for pursuing this course is that the students should have completed their 10+2  from any good school affiliated to a recognized board, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology and/ or Math as main subjects and a minimum aggregate score of 55%.

However, a few private universities in India conduct their own entrance tests for evaluating and admitting students to the course.

B.Sc. Forensic Sciences Syllabus includes essential components such as Forensic Pathology, Psychiatry, Psychology, Forensic Medicine and Odontology (Dentistry).

The average course fee in India ranges between INR 30,000 and 2 lacs.


Such professionals generally work in a lab and the deduced results and findings are then used to help solve cases and catch criminals. It is chiefly laboratory-based science consisting of related elements of Chemistry, Biology, Toxicology, Ballistics, the Science of Fingerprinting, Questioned Documents and Impressions.

Admission to the course is based on the candidate’s performance at the 10+2 level. Institutes offering the course admit students based on whether they meet the minimum, set cut- off scores at the 10+2 level.
