Hi, admission to M.A English Hons is both merit based and entrance based. Below is the information where the basic eligibility criterias are mentioned.
Masters in English (entrance based)-
1)B.A. (Hons.) examination in English from DU
45% for General Category, 40.5% for OBC and for SC/ST/PWD category minimum pass marks in qualifying examination of DU or at least the
same % of pass marks at the qualifying exam as prescribed for the equivalent exam of DU. For those having CGPA under the CBCS Programme the
equivalence of marks will be as per DU guidelines.
2)B.A from any indian recognized University
50% for Unreserved Category, 45% for OBC
and minimum pass marks for SC/ST/PWD/CW categories. For those having CGPA under the CBCS Programme the equivalence of marks will be as per the rules of DU.
Masters in English (merit based)
B.A. (Hons) in English from DU
60% marks in aggregate for unreserved category, 54% for OBC in B.A. (Hons.)
English and for SC/ST/PWD/CW, admissions will be in the order of merit till seats earmarked reserved for these respective categories in direct admissions are filled up. For those having CGPA under the CBCS Programme the equivalence of marks will be as per the rules of DU
