Hi

Admission process to get admission in BVSc

Admission in 15% all India quota seats in Veterinary College is through a aipvt counselling on the basis of Neet examination

Admission in  state quota seat in veterinary is based on state level entrance examination some of the state level entrance examination is provided below:-

  • RPVT in Rajasthan
  • UP Veterinary Entrance Exam in Uttar Pradesh
  • AAU VET in Assam

How to get Admission?

  • -) Appear in neet or the state level entrance examination for bvsc in your state
  • -) qualifying Neet examination
  • -) participate in in a aipvt counselling conducted on the basis of Neet examination to provide admission in 15% all India quota seats in Veterinary College for bvsc
  • -) on the basis of marks/rank obtained by you , you will be allotted a seat for bvsc and after the completion of your course will become a veterinary doctor and can practice

Now,
Coming to the marks required in NEET to get bvsc, predicting the marks required to get a seat in  Veterinary College is quite difficult as cut  off   marks / rank   for colleges keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like  number of students that appeared in the neet examination, kind of marks obtained by students  in neet , toughness level of the neet examination, number of seats available etc.

In 2nd round of Aipvt, 57575 was all India rank that got a seat in a government Veterinary College for general category and it was for College of Veterinary Science & Animal
Husbandry, Aizawl, Mizoram

You can check the same , in the PDF available on aipvt official website,  the direct link to download the PDF is provided below
https://vcicounseling.nic.in/Documents/allotted_candidate_Institute-Rank-wise-converted.pdf

And 57575 is around 540 marks.
For example,
In neet 2020 , 57581 all India rank was obtained by a student with 538 marks.

So, to be safer side in your neet 2021 ,to get a seat in a government Veterinary College for bvsc you should target at least 550 marks to get a seat through  aipvt

Now that,

limited time is left for neet 2021 , so you should be focusing on your preparation,

  • practising chapterwise questions

  • then revising the chapters,

  • solve at least previous 10 year neet question papers as concept behind the question often gets repeated in the examination so it will be of great help in your preparation  ,

  • go through neet mock test papers as it will let you know your preparation level and and weak areas so that you can work on them and perform well in your examination.

Thank you
