Hello student,

In any competitive exam ,the results are given in the form of two ranks, namely category rank and common rank. This means if a candidate is not able to produce the required certificates for caste verification, he/she will be considered under general category.
Also if the common rank of any obc candidate is good enough to fetch a seat in general category, he/she can get the allotment of seat under general category. For obc candidates producing OBC NCL certificate is important. Without this they do no get the benefits and advantages of obc category.
So if you want to get a seat under general category, you cn definitely do that. What you have to do is clear thier cutoff and score a very good common rank.
I hope this is helpful to you.
