hello madam/sir, currently i am studying 6th engineering (exams will end this month),and i am having backlog papers,can i apply for gate exam 2023?

YES, you can apply for the GATE Exam regardless of the backlogs in your semester exams because the backlogs does not have any effect in the GATE Exam. As per GATE 2022 eligibility criteria a candidate who is currently in final year or already completed is eligible for GATE exam. So if you clear your 4 year engineering degree within 4 years, You are eligible for GATE 2022 exam. There would be no effect of backlog(s) at any stage of your GATE exam .
