You already got your answer from previous expert (I agree with them), I just want to add few more things so it would help you to decide
There is no appearing limit for CPT exam and the subject which are part of CPT is very much aligned with what you study in graduation (3 years)
There are four subjects in CPT
AccountingLawEconomicsMath (QT & Stats)
CPT exam happens twice in a year and you can slowly prepare and appear in exam, however to clear CPT, unlike CA Final

Dear Student,
You can prepare for CA along with your graduation.
There are many students who used to do that.
If you are a student of B.Com then you will also find similarity between your syllabus.
It is a good idea to prepare along with your graduation as you will be having good options in your hand if by chance you decide to quit your CA.
So, at last it is a good option you can go for it.
CA CPT 2018 Application form will be out from 4th April 2018.
You can fill the application form online and exam will be conducted offline.
