Hello my clat mock score are not good .so how i improve my mock score in two months? i am so much demotivated by my score .
Hello Vañi Sharma,
Tips to improve CLAT score:
- The first and most important thing you need to do is not get demotivated by your score. The more demotivated you get the more it is reflected in your performance and a time may come when you just give up on yourself. Keep yourself motivated in order to get the best results.
- CLAT is a time based test thus set particular time goals for each question, then for each section, this way if you give limited time to each section you will be able to master the technique of speed required.
- Select the sections and questions you find easy to answer and answer them first during your mocks, once you start getting right answers your confidence gets boosted and you automatically start recalling whatever you have studied and getting the answers right.
- Keep revising and re-revising your course repeatedly so that it get ingrained in your mind. You must have prepared using some manual or source, the only thing you need to do is give it 3-4 hours daily and keep revising and revising section by section.
- Go back to the mistakes you had made in previous mocks repeatedly so that you get an idea of the questions you are making mistakes in. Reason the question well, think for its answer so that you do not repeat the same mistake in the future.
- Set and fix a study routine . If you need to give four hours to the course, select a time slot for everyday where you will by hook or by crook give time to your studies.
- Try covering up for the sections you are weak at by excelling incredibly in the sections you are strong at. This help you maintain a balance so that you do not loose a lot of marks.
- Give half an hour to newspaper reading everyday in order to improve your general knowledge. Keep solving math problems in your free time, solve english exercises by online sources for SAT like Magoosh.
- In the reasoning based questions try to not form a bias to a particular viewpoint, stay neutral, examine from all perspectives then come to a well thought of conclusion. Practice this in a few tests and you will adapt to this technique pretty soon.
- Try solving at least 2-3 tests per week so that you get accustomed to the format and question type. The more number of questions you solve, the higher is the chance of you cracking the test as you will then be familiar with the question-answer pattern followed.
- Try giving as little time as possible to each question . Skip the question if you can not solve it in 40-60 seconds. The more time you spend on one question, the lesser time you have to finish the test.
- Practice and practice and practice . Pay a lot of attention to your weaknesses and try improving them. Keep analysing your progress. Set a goal and try achieving that during each mock test of yours.
All the best!
I hope this helps!
