Firstly,  let me tell you that each and every year the cut off criteria get changed depending upon many factors like the number of candidates appearing for the exam and the number of candidates actually attended the exam. TNEA 2021 has 440 participating institutions offering around 151870 seats for various engineering courses. TNEA Cutoff 2021 is released separately for each round of counselling in form of Opening and Closing marks. The cut off for different rounds of counselling has been released :

• Round 1 is for candidates with aggregate marks 200 - 178 and rank 1 - 9872.
• Round 2 is for candidates with aggregate marks 177.75 - 150 and rank 9873 - 30926.
• Round 3 is for candidates with aggregate marks 149.75 - 115 and rank 30927 - 64093.
• Round 4 is for candidates with aggregate marks 114.75 - 77.5 and rank 64094 - 101692.

CSE : 75 - 200

IT :  75 - 193

Cut off according to few top ranking university : Madras institute of technology the cutoff for CSE:  176.5 - 199.25

College of Engineering,  Anna University cutoff for CSE: 183-200

SSN College of Engineering , (https://collegedunia.com/college/14867-ssn-college-of-engineering-ssnce-chennai) Kalavakkam cutoff marks for CSE & IT: 166 -199 & 159 - 196.5 respectively.
