Hello my son is getting 480 in neet can he get a seat in government college in j&k.
Hi Saajad Qazi sir,
First of all congratulations for your son on attempting one of the most competitive exams NEET. Now coming to your question On seeing previous years cutoff what I want to say you is that If your residential place is J&K then only with 480 marks your son can get government medical college in J&K under state quota. It is probably not possible to get J&K government medical colleges with480 marks under state quota.

Irrespective of the Category, with 480, your son has a fair chance at:
GMC, Srinagar
GMC, Jammu
Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences
Having said that, cut offs change every year and are dependant on various factors like no.of seats available, no.of candidates appearing for the exam, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. You can also check the cut offs of various different colleges under your category at:

Yes, your son would definetly be getting a medical college in J&K as his score is quite good and the colleges accept that score following previous year trends.
Yes, With the score of 480,you have chances of procuring a seat in the government medical colleges when comparing the results of previous years. Last year, a minimum score of 456 was required to fetch one a seat in the government medical college, Srinagar and 442 was required to fetch one a seat in the government medical college, Jammu in general category under the state quota. Also, one thing to keep in mind is that scores and ranks vary each year with difficulty level of the question paper and availability of seats. However, you stand on the safe zone only.
Good luck
