The job of a merchant navy officer is to take care of the countrys commercial shipping.Merchant navy officer spends most of his life on a ship sailing through the sea, rather than on land. Therefore, it is more of a lifestyle than a career.

For being a Merchant Navy you must qualify 10+2 in physics, chemistry, maths with an aggregate of 50 per cent of marks or equivalent to it from a recognised board.
Next,you are required to seat for Entrance Test for Bachelors degree in related specialisation .

Some of the Entrance Exam are :

• IMU-CET
• JEE MAINS
• JEE ADVANCED
• HIMT-OET
• TMI-BITS-EE

After completing with your Bachelor's you have two options.

Option 1 : You can begin working in the field of merchant navy at an entry-level post.

Option 2 : You can go for his or her masters degree programme in the specializations related to merchant navy.
