Hello aspirant.
For physics - used to solve arihant previous yr (10yr) question ppr.And its each derivation is also imp. for board exam and entrance exam too.
For chemistry- i don't know the reference book name. But still i think its ncert question is more than enough to score more than 90+. I solved each question of ncert approx 4–5 times and got 94.
For biology- I will prefer ncert book and oswal question. Bank book and focus more on ecology and microbes in human welfare .
And try to do more and more logical type question because its increase your efficiency to analyse more.
And also try to do more and more short type question approx 40 for each chapter.
Hope this will helps you alot.
Dear aspirant,
Hope you are doing well. As per your query there are many support books that are good for 10+2 PCB students and also for NEET but the main book that you have follow is NCERT for all three subjects. This is the best book as ques in your board exams as well as NEET will come based on NCERT books. Other supportive books that help you understand the concepts better are S.C Verma for Biology, Concepts of Physics by H.C Verma for physics and Inorganic and Organic chemistry by O. P Tandon for Chemistry. Also Comprehensive books for all these three subjects are also very good for practice. Hope you find this helpful. Thank you.
Hey Aspirant,
Well, there are a lot of publishers and books for PCB students! It's a basic assumption that most of student from PCB background appear in NEET (National Eligibility Entrance Test).
So today I am suggesting some books which are essential for boards and as well as competitive purpose.
1. BIOLOGY : Now, There's a common misconception that, you have to read a lot to get a good score or a set a seat in any government medical college. I am not saying that hard work doesn't pay off, sure it does. But there are some tips and tricks so that you can enjoy the journey.
A. NCERT: For biology, first you have to finish your NCERT Biology if you are preparing for NEET! Most of the questions in NEET directly comes from NCERT.
B. ABC of Biology: you can use this book, as a reference. But at first, finish NCERT.
C. For detailed explanation you must follow SC Verma and GRB Bathla’s Publications in a regular basis.
D. MCQ: For mcqs, solve MTG'S Biology at Your Fingertips. It's completely based on NCERT and there are some extra points which are important for a better understanding of the subject. You can also use Trueman’s Biology – Vol 1 and Vol 2 in this regard. And one more thing, for MCQs don't forget to practise Dinesh Objective Biology thoroughly.
2. CHEMISTRY : One thing keep in mind that Chemistry is the most scoring subject in any competitive exams. So for extra-ordinary performance in any exam you should be very talented, detailed-oriented and well-resourced in Chemistry.
A. For inorganic chemistry, you can thoroughly study NCERT.
B. However for Physical and Organic chemistry, I'll recommend you GRB Publication, because they are accepted nationwide and you'll get very detailed explanation. Moreover O.P.Tandon and Arihant are the most useful books for scoring good marks in NEET. And particularly for Physical chemistry you should go through P.Bahadur and for Organic Chemistry (specially for Reaction Mechanism) you can use Morrison and Boyd.
C. For mcqs and other questions you can solve MTG'S Chemistry at Your Fingertips.
3. PHYSICS : You can study Concept of Physics by H.C. Verma but it's gonna be a extra load for the students from PCB background and if you are an extra talented students, you should go for I.E. Irodov. Moreover for practising problems in mechanics and rotational dynamics you must go through Objective Physics by Pramod Agarwal minutely and for optics, electromagnetism and waves just practise Fundamentals of Physics by Halliday, Resnick, and Walker regularly.
For mcq purpose you can solve D.C. Pandey and MTGs Physics at Your Fingertips.
