Good afternoon Rishab!!

Good that you wish to become an IAS officer!!

IN my opinion it is better to go to regular class in college because, when you are with people there would be a lot to learn from them and you will get to know what to learn and what not to learn from others. You would be evolving and able to manage and deal with people (both good and bad) and this experience in your life nothing will give you except for college.

Its better you go to college and study simultaneously for upsc!

remember one thing you are to be an IAS officer, not a bookworm in library to keep reading books 24hours!!!
Feel free to ask us any other queries

thank you :)

Hi Rishabh!

Congratulations on completing your 12th class. This is the peak time to make decisions regarding your career. It's a good thing that you have chosen to become an IAS. The biggest confusion now is whether to go for graduation or go for coaching. But, that's alright, you need not worry. This is the point where most youngsters get confused.
So, what I would like to suggest you is that you better pursue graduation in any field first, it could be engineering, any degree, etc. Why I am asking you to do this is because, if at all, by chance you are not able to clear the exam for IAS, you will at least be left with a graduation certificate that will help you land in other jobs for the time being until you figure out your next steps. Otherwise, if you go only for coaching and somehow fail to clear the exam, it would mean that you have wasted all this time and have nothing much to do with your career anymore. That is why it would be better if you take up graduation and prepare for IAS exam simultaneously. As soon as you are graduated, you can then apply for the exam.

If you still have any doubts or queries, please feel free to comment.

Let me know if this answer was helpful to you and all the best for your future!

ya actually i think same..but i really work hard for it since class 8th... and i just only want to focus on UPSC but thing is that i am unable to select regular class or coaching + class.. but in a corner of my mind that if i am unable to do so then i didnt left any 2nd option.but i am 80% sure my hard work and dedication would bring me up to an IAS officer.
