Hello sir, I am a Nepalese citizen and have completed my UG from Nepal (Kathmandu University). I have passed the licensing exam conducted by Nepal Medical Council (NMC) and registered in NMC. Do I need to give FMGE or any other exams to appear in this upcoming may 2020 pg entrace exam for MD/MS??

Summi, if you are a Foreign National and if you want to study MD/MS in India, you should appear for NEET PG. FMGE is for Indian Medical Graduates who have completed their MBBS abroad. This is the license exam for them to practise in India. But if you are a Foreign National, FMGE doesn't apply to you. You should appear for NEET PG and secure a seat as a Foreign National to study MD/MS here.
NEET PG Eligibility Criteria 2020 - Foreign Medical Graduates
NBE has declared the below-mentioned NEET PG 2020 eligibility criteria for those Indian citizens or Overseas citizens who have pursued their Primary Medical Qualifications from Medical colleges that are outside India territory.
- FMG candidates have to mandatory pass NBE conducted Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) (Screening Test).
- Medical graduates from foreign must be registered with MCI/SMC
- The internship requirement for FMG candidates, as per eligibility criteria of NEET PG, is the same as mentioned above for overall candidates
- On the day of conduction of NEET PG 2020, FMG candidates are required to bring along their FMGE Pass Certificate issued by NBE
