Hello Sir, I completed my intermediate, I want to about b tech cse (like bridge course) in these holidays can you provide me link of video
Hello Syed Jilani ,
Sorry, but we cannot provide link of any other websites in careers360 platform. This is against the rules. But But But....................
Don't Get dissappointed, I will explain and give you enough sources for your understanding and hope that your effort of asking question in career360 will be worthy enough.
For background Infromation, I am a computer science engineering student.
Now about CSE:
You must have certain goals or aspirations set in your mind that you would be expecting.
So, expectation number 1: Better placements in Google ( Maximum 12th students think the same) But in my opinion focus more on job profile rather than company. SDE 1 or 2 in Google or amazon is almsot same if we only see the next oppurtunity that you will get.
For CSE, your dedication matters the most than colleges.
If you are in IITs or top NITs then it's different ofcourse. But if you are in newer NITs then it doesnot make any such effect.
You will have to put your own efforts. No college will teach you coding. This is the utter truth that yes no colleges atleast in India will teach you coding. its just the students that they learn it themselves.
Now how will you get a job if you study CSE and which things to focus on?
1) C/C++/JAVA : Know atleast any two of the languages very very nicely and in-depth.
2) Data Structures & Algorithms : This is the thing which will take you to a Big product based company or will land you to a hefty pay package.
The most importan thing is this only.
You need to give a lot of extra efforts to master it.
3) Other Technical subjects:
See, CSE is not just about programming but also hardware things that is making of processors , Chips, memory devices etc.
So, for this purpose many other technical subjects will be taught to make you acquainted with the memory and other hardware aspects of computer.
Those subjects will be : Computer organisation, Computer Architecture, Microprocessors, Finite Automata, Operating systems, Compiler Design.
4) Other Skills :
Android Development, Web development, Game development etc.
Most of the colleges don't have these as subjects rather students had to learn it by themselves. But in some cases these things are included in elective subjects.
But you must focus on these too
5) The Hot topic of the day: AI : Before AI you need to know many other things too, like i said you need to be aware of Data structures and Algorithms and even some mathematical stuffs too like Linear algebra and Probability which will further supplement Machine learning and this machine learning will form the base of AI later.
So AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, etc are advanced topics.
So what can you do in your intermediate holidays:
1) Learn a programing language. know the basics of a programming language and know how to program. How to write a program using arrays, structures and also learn the usage of pointers in c and c++. further be acquainted with the basics of OOP, object oriented programming and its concepts like Polymorphism, inheritance, Encapsulation, method overloading concepts etc.
2) You may learn HTML. This language is basically taught in class 9 ot 10th in CBSE schools nd other schools. This is the basic of web development. all the concepts of web development starts from HTML and CSS. so having a good command over HTML will be a good start right from the begining.
3) Algorithms require certain prerequisites. That prerequisite is some mathematical stuffs. That comes under Discrete Mathematics.
So, in my opinion revise the chapters of probability, set theory, relations, mathematical induction, mathematical reasoning , permutation and combinations from your standard 11th and 12th. this will be your base in the long journey of four years of CSE.
Now coming to the syllabus:
First Year: All useless mechanical engineering, chemistry, physics, electrical engineering stuffs will be taught which will be of no use in CSE. But in addition one programming language will be taught that is : C. Most of the colleges teach this language in first year.
Second Year :
Data structures, Algorithms, Data communication, Discrete Maths, Mathematics, Computer Organization, Digital Logic design etc
Third Year :
OS, Compiler design, computer architecture(advanced), DBMS etc
fourth year :
Advanced courses like ML, Data mining etc and basically this year will be full with projects and seminars.
For more information you can directly search Computer science in youtube or you can pick up the technical words that i have mantioned in the above answer and search it directly in any search engines available.
Hope it helps!
