Forensic Science is the application of Scientific knowledge and methodology to criminal investigations and legal problems. Forensic Science is a multidisciplinary subject, it encompasses various fields of science such as chemistry, biology, physics, geology, psychology, social science, engineering etc. This subject is used in every spaces of protect public health and enforce criminal laws and regulations to resolve civil disputes of world. The scope of forensic science study is vast. There are so many government and private jobs available.

Hey!

We all must have watched the application of this course in movies, series etc. In the terms of post martum, finger prints analysis, investigation on documents, investigation in fire accidents or traffic accidents, and some times in case of trade/traffic of animals.

This course is basically divided in to three categories

  1. Forensic medicine : it includes psychology, psychiatric, post martum, finger prints etc.
  2. Laboratory science : it basically includes working on strange death of animals, documents investigation etc
  3. Field science : in this the work is to analyze onto the fire or traffic accidents.

This course is basically focused on physics, chemistry, biology andv medicine. Undergraduate course is termed as bsc in forensic science, it is offered in diploma and post graduation.

Hello student ,

If you want to go for forensic course then you have to complete their 10+2 examination with minimum 50 % aggragate  from science branch for admission into UG degree . Further after completing a bachelor degree i.e. B.Sc, you can apply for the master degree that is M.Sc in Forensic Science as some private universities conduct its own entrance test for admission in master courses.
