hello sir in my gate application form i have written institute but now it has become university will it cause problem ? can it be amended? please help in this case
Dear Abhishek, you havent mentioned whether when you studied it was an Institute but later became a University or it was an University from the beginning and you entered it wrong. Neverthless, if it was an Institute when you studied and later became a University, it's not your fault and doesn't need correction because all your documents will have the letter head as Institution and not as a University and you are good. But if it was a mistake from your side, this field cannot be corrected. According to the official brochure, Name, Date of Birth, Details of parents/guardian, corresponding address, Qualifying degree, Exam city, Gender, PWD and Category details only can be corrected. But thus shall not pose any problem for you.
Thank you and sorry for keep bugging you on a constant problem
Also ma'am check here the 16 th question from bottom it says we can edit college naam in their data correction time window.
Hello Abhishek Saxena
If all of your documents will have 'Institute' in the name instead of 'University', provided it was Institute when you have joined the college, then it is correct. It doesn't matter if it has become an University after your joining. So it won't cause a problem or get amended.
Hope it helps you.
Also will gate give chances to an applicant to make changes in his/her college name after filling the form?
It's actually fault at gate form if they have not amended it
Thank you for your time and help.
Yes, gate gives chances to make changes but in your case you don't need to do any change.
Thanks for your time and help
