Hello,
MCA is a specialisation course whereas MBA is more of generalised course. In MBA you have to go through all the aspects of business periphery. Whether marketing, finance, organisational behaviour, operation management, human behaviour etc. Most esteem B school make you go through all these subjects and in second year you can opt your major/ minor or any core course.
Whereas in MCA you will get to work on computer application, which is required in any firm. But it is limited to only one segment or vertical.
You should make decision based on whether you want to go for specialisation course or generalised course.
Good luck for your career ahead
Thanks.
Your interest matters most.
Though comparing MBA and MCA, if you are more like technology lover, want to see yourself as a software developer then go for MCA. If you want to get into IT then go for MBA. MBA is all about business tactics whereas MCA is all about the technological aspect of the business.
Now the thing is if you pursue an MBA from reputed college/ school then you get better placement otherwise you will be done with an ordinary salary. So what you need is to crack the exams of MBA with good score.
In MCA, your work is required. How you impress your interviewer and get the job. You have to work tight to get a decent salary.
So basically an MBA is skill based and work based both which takes less time to complete the course than MCA but has got a lot to do. Their work demand is more.
Choose wisely.
Good luck:)
