Hi Owais,

Hope you are doing great. What I'll suggest you is that aim for atleast 550 marks in NEET 2020. Since everyone know how the cutoff marks for every college hiked up this year by 15 marks due to huge competition. So being in safe zone would be very good. 550 is a good score which will lead you to a good medical college or central University or deemed University. See the problem is that scoring less than 500 might bring you a little trouble. Once certificate will be beneficial but scoring good is the only part which will provide you with a good college. Hope you get it.

All the best and do ask for any further queries.

Hello aspirant,

If you are talking about NEET 2020, the required score is very unpredictable since it varies greatly from year to year depending on the number of candidates and the level of the question paper. As of 2019, since there was a marks hike this year, the top colleges of some states also have a cut off of 570-580 for the obc category. You can be sure of getting a seat through the state counselling scoring 530+. All the best!

Hello Owais,

Along with your category there are also other factors which determine your admission in Government medical college.

Your state of domicile, number of students appearing for paper, level of examination etc.

If we see the latest trends for a obc seat under all India qouta you must score between 575- 650.

As you know the cutoffs have gone really high this year hence thus much you need to get into a government medical college through all India qouta.

I hope this helps.

All the best for the future!!

Dear Owais, evwry State has its own cut offs for each Category. Though OBC has 27% reservation few States like Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana, Bijar have higher cut offs when compared to States like UP. But if you are looking for All India, the score should be nothing less than 550. But for State quota, it should be nothing less than 500. Having said that, cut offs change every year and are dependant on various factors like no.of seats availble, no.of candidates appearing for the exam, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam.
