Hello sir/madam, I am currently in 12th standard. Am I eligible for appearing for ISI entrance test this year?
Dear Arka,
The Applicants who are eligible for the entrance exam are the students who have the three year Bachelor degree or four year be/btech degree. So as you are in 12th standard so you are not eligible for the entrance exam.
Let me tell something in detail about the exam that how can you clear the exam:-
1.)The most important thing is that if you are preparing for JEE mains then the maths will be very helpful in this for your preparation.
2.)The Topics Number Theory and Geometry should be well studied because this is not in the JEE syllabus.
3.)For preparing well you should complete Olympiads Problems too.
4.)Firstly focus on subjective problems.
5.)ISI Paper 1 is almost similar to JEE but Paper 2 is like a Olympiad. Make Sure you Practice Subjective Problems too.
I hope you got the answer!!
ALL THE BEST!!
If you have any query then feel free to ask!!!
The ISI or Indian Statistical Institute Admission Test abbreviated as ISI Admission Test is conducted in order to offer admission in undergraduate and postgraduate courses which are offered at the ISI.
Admission are strictly based on merit on admission test and on the interviews.
The eligibility criteria for the undergraduate program is as follows :
For B Stats(Hons)/B Maths (Hons) the candidate must have successfully completed their 10+2 exam with mathematics as English as compulsory subjects. The exam is for 2 hours for 120 marks , syllabus will be based on your +2 exam. Its is a offline mode examination conducted by the ISI Calcutta.
Now since this year you are currently studying in 12th standard I am afraid to say that you are not eligible for ISI Admission Test 2020.
However don't lose hope , you can give the exam next year after completion of 12th.
