Hi; I myself scored 27(MSC chemistry) AIR 500. With a reservation (EWS) I came under merit list in my category at CUKarnatak and CUtamilnadu as well . But didn't attend the counselling. You do stand a chance if you have quota. However if you belong to Unreserved category then the chances are very low. Incase the selected students opt out of the course or there are seats left for spot counselling you may get into one.
