Hello, what is the difference between the dual degree(B.Tech.-M.Tech.), and an Integrated M.Tech. degree?
Hi ! Dual degree and integrated m.tech is a same thing. In both the case you will get the integrated degree of b.tech and m.tech. In this case you will get the chance to do m.tech directly after four years of b.tech. In institutions like IIST and IISC and IISER, integrated m.tech reveals as one or two year of m.tech along with PHD. so hope you understand and best of luck to you.
Another difference is in the approach of studies. The dual degree is done in such a way that both the faculties teaching the course go with their regular schedule and complete the desired course in the same span of time. Whereas in integrated course, the faculties have to co-operate with each other in order to complete the course in the given span of time. This is another way that differentiates the integrated course from the dual degree course in Engineering.
Hello Jhinuk
Dual Degree Course means that at the end of 5 years you will get both B.Tech and M.Tech degree whereas in Integrated M.Tech, at the end of 5 years you will get only M.Tech degree.
As per a reputed institute, Dual degree students will receive both B. Tech. and M. Tech. degrees. There is no option of early exit with a B. Tech. degree only.
integrated M.Tech. will have a exit option.
Hii,
Basically the Integrated course is of 5 years Duration in which Both Under graduation and post graduation are combined . After the Completion of your 12th from a recognised Board of University, if you join an Integrated Course of BTech- MTech then you will get the Combined Certificate at the end of 5 years.
Whereas the Concept of Dual degree was created by BITS Pilani. In that if you are not selected for B.E course then you can join their dual degree program. In the initial you will be offered a MSc course . Based on your Marks in the first and end semester, you will get the Engineering course.so you will get MSc and Engineering degree.
