As per the ranking in jee mains, you can get a seat in VIIT, pune for engineering in CS branch because the cutoff for VIT, vellore is starting from 8000 ranking and will be up till 15000 maximum. So, In order to get the CS branch with 45000+ ranking in JEE, u should go for VIIT,pune. It is one of the top colleges of Pune, with more than 80% placement in 2020, and has an average package of 6+ lacs and highest of 25 LPA. You can even use the college prediction of Careers 360 to get a more accurate answer.
The percentage you scored in 12th boards are of good importance, while keeping VIT in mind, if you are applying directly to the college without any counseling through jee ranking, but if you are selected for admission in college through the VITEEE ranking, then they don't have so much importance as the VITEEE ranking will decide the fee payable for the upcoming 4 years of UGC of engineering.
Hi,
VIT Vellore takes admissions via the VITEEE exam, and not the JEE Main. VIT is a deemed to be University which conducts it's own entrance exam and doesn't take admission through JEE Mains.
To get CSE , you need a rank below 4k to get into the Scholarship Category - 1. This is a bit tricky because the exam is conducted using relative scoring ( your score depends on how you fared amongst those who gave the same set). This makes it trickier than any absolute scoring exam. However , in general , a score above 105 out of 125 will land you CSE.
To draw a comparison between JEE and VITEE levels , almost all of the CSE students have JEE Main score above 150. A lot above 200 too ( for School Cat 1).
Hope this helps.
