Hello Diya,
In order to avoid sleeping during your study time, follow the below tips:
Drink water Your brain requires oxygen to function, and water just does the work. Dehydration can make you feel sleepy and exhausted. So, have at least eight glasses of water during the day and you will be good to go.
2. Eat light Instead of eating heavy meals at one go; spread out your meals throughout the day. This will keep you energetic and fresh when you study. Heavy meals make you drowsy, and it becomes difficult to maintain focus. Also, avoid junk food, as they lack essential nutrients and so you may feel weary soon.
3. Take breaks If you study at a stretch, you won't be able to retain much and chances of falling asleep are more. Study for maybe three hours and then take a break, and during the break time, do anything you like but study. Listen to some grooving music or dance; just whatever you wish.
4. Keep windows open Sit in a bright place and study. A dark room may make you feel all gloomy and sleepy. Let the light pass through the window and fresh air, too.
5. Change sitting positions Don't simply sit at one place and study for the entire day. Instead whenever you feel even a bit tired, get up and walk a bit and sit in a different place. You can even consider changing directions while sitting in the same place.
6. Don't sit on the couch or bed When your body is too comfortable, it is easier for you to fall asleep. Avoid sitting on the couch or lying on the bed while studying. Sit up straight up on a chair and keep your book on the desk and study.
Good luck!
