Here is a list of exams
A) NDA -it is one of the most sought after defence entrance exams in the country. Recruiting for admission to Army, Navy and Air Force wings of NDA and Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC).
Eligibility
- Age Limit:Candidates who have born not earlier than July 2, 2001, and not later than July 1, 2004, are eligible to apply for NDA 1 exam.
- Educational qualification:The educational qualification is different for different academies.
- Army Wing of National Defence Academy:Candidates must have passed Class 12/HSC under 10+2 pattern of school education or equivalent from a recognised board or university.
- Air Force, Navy and Naval Academy of National Defence Academy:Candidates must have passed Class 12/HSC under 10+2 pattern of school education with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
B) CDS- Combined Defence Services Examination commonly known as CDS is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment of Commissioned Officers in Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. The exam is held twice a year usually in February and
Eligibility
- For Indian Military Academy (IMA), unmarried candidates born not earlier than January 2, 1997, and not later than January 1, 2002, can onlya apply.
- For Indian Naval Academy (IMA), unmarried male candidates born not earlier than January 2, 1997, and not later than January 1, 2002, are eligible.
- Candidates applying for Air Force Academy should be between 20 to 24 years as on January 1, 2021 (born not earlier than January 2, 1997, and not later than January 1, 2001).
- For Officers Training Academy (SSC Course for men), unmarried male candidates born not earlier than January 2, 1996, and not later than January 1, 2002, are eligible for the exam.
- For Officers Training Academy (SSC Women Non-Technical Course), candidates should be unmarried and born not earlier than January 2, 1996, and not later than January 1, 2002.
Educational Qualification
- For IMA and Officers Training Academy, candidates must be a graduate.
- For Indian Naval Academy, candidates must have a degree in Engineering from a recognised university.
- For Air Force Academy, a degree with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering is necessary.
Physical Fitness
- Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to CDS exam.
C) AFCAT- The Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) is conducted by the Indian Air Force.
D) CAPF - it is a competitive exam conducted by the Union Public Service Commission to recruit the candidates in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). The candidates recruited through this exam, join the forces as Assistant Commandant (AC).
