With reference to your query , I would like to inform you that their is no major differences in BSC and BCA in computer science . The big difference is that students expectations from it , if you want to go in research by peruing PHD or teaching field by following the path of msc and phd then bsc course is best for you but if you are looking for Jobs as a software developer aur MCA then BCA is good . One can expect salary of 20-30k after bca
Hope you found this answer helpful. Good luck for your future
Greetings of the day dear candidate!
See, the difference is comparatively considerable because B.Sc is a theory-oriented course whereas BCA is a technical skill-oriented course. No doubt, the duration for both courses is 3 years. BCA or Bachelor of Computer Applications majorly focuses on technical skill development makes the candidate job ready for the market whereas in B.Sc you will learn programming theory rather than implementing it in real-life scenarios.
BCA grads had always an upper edge over B.Sc grads because of the value and course structure. In B.Sc, after competition of the course, you are required to do M.Sc and may be PHD to secure a disciplined career with a good salary but in the case of BCA, a candidate needs to pursue MCA further to get good and decent jobs.
See, if your goal is just a degree then go with B.Sc, if you want to become responsible with the job then BCA is a better option always.
Salary depends upon the skills but for instance, if you do B.Sc then you might get something around 20k per month if you are from average college but if you do BCA, then you might expect 4-5 LPA as a starting salary.
Hope this answer helps you. If you still have any queries then, please feel free to ask.
