For lateral entry in B.tech (entry directly in the second year); you don't have to take any exam in particular nut you need to have a 3 year diploma in Engineering or an equivalent degree. If you are furnished with the required degree, you just need to approach the college you want to get an admission in and follow the general admission proceedings as per the concerned management.

If you want to get an admission in the Aligarh Muslim University, you have to register and clear the AMUEEE, since the UPSEE exam carries no impetus for and admission in the AMU.
