Hey. I am currently in my 3rd year pursuing bsc and started my simultaneous preparation for CAT. Please suggest me how can I improve my profile. My academics 10th 12th is 90+ and graduation is currently 70+
I would advise you to do atleast couple of internships in diversified profiles like Social Servixe, Teaching, Research, Project Management, Marketing, Business Development, Operations or Analytics (If you are well versed with), followed by atleast a year of Work Experience, maybe as a Research Assistant with some Professor or maybe at Some Teaching, NGO,Marketing, Scientific or Finance Firm, provided you have respective skill sets.
Try to do Virtual Internships with Providers like Internshala as well as Get Certain Skill Sets ready like Finance, Data Science, Management and Business Analytics, by Completing Specializations and Certifications from Coursera. Before you Pass Out from your University, try to complete a Good Prohect under some Professor, and get a Recommendation from Him/Her. More or less, you will have a good profile.
Besides these, you should also participate in Activities in your College as well as have certain Leadership Qualities. Try to involve in Societies of your Institute of Certain Social NGOs and Associations like Rotaract or Lions Club in your City.
Besides these parameters, having a more or less average to good academic record, you should have a great percentile of atleast 99+, if your are targetting one of the IIMs and are from General Category, or atleast 95+ for any Standard Tier 1 or Tier 2 B School, having great Infrastructure, Faculty and Placements as well as a good Return on Investment Factor. Once you ace the exam, CAT, you need to work on your GD/PI Skills as well as appear for Other Management Entrances like XAT, SNAP, AIMA MAT and NMAT.
